Directions

Below you will find directions to Le Venec from Brest Airport and from Roscoff. If you are coming from another direction, please don't hestitate to contact us for help and advice on the best way to reach us.

Directions: from Roscoff

These directions are from the port of Roscoff to “Le Venec” using the most direct route. There are alternatives, via Brest on the N12 motorway for example, but the route we are providing is the shortest. This route will take you from Roscoff to Landivisiau, Sizun, Le Faou, Lopérec and on to “Le Venec”.

On leaving Roscoff port turn left. There are numerous roundabouts until you get to Landivisiau, but the key points to follow are below:

  • Follow the signs for Morlaix D58 until you see signs for Landivisiau D69, then take this junction.
  • Follow the D69 for Landivisiau going through Plouvorn.
  • Arriving on the outskirts of Landivisiau you will begin to see signs for Sizun. Follow the D30 to Sizun.
  • At Sizun take the D18 to Le Faou.
  • Follow the signs into the town (Centre Ville) of Le Faou.
  • As you drop down into Le Faou you will see a big car park and estuary on the right, continue straight on through the narrow high street and around to the left into the main square.
  • Here you follow the road straight with the shops/hotels on your right and following the sign for Lopérec.
  • Follow the road out of Le Faou and up the hill for about 5 minutes until you arrive at a mini roundabout. Go straight over (ignoring the sign for Lopérec to the left).
  • You will go through Quimerc’h, which is all down hill about another 5 minutes. When you see a stripy pink house on the left hand side begin to look for a left hand turning to Lopérec, which is just after a bend to the left in the road. If you find yourself going up hill again you have gone too far.
  • Turn left to Lopérec and follow the road into the village. You will see the village green on the right with a park and the church in front of you.
  • Turn right just before the church and follow this road out of Lopérec up the hill 1.5km until you see the turning on the left for “Venec” and “Lariegat”. Turn left here.
  • A little further down the road is another left hand turn, take this and you will immediately see a small car park on the right hand side. You can either park here or drive straight through the double gates to your holiday cottage.

Directions: from Brest Airport

On leaving the airport simply follow the signs for Quimper. This will take you through several roundabouts and dual carriageways until you find yourself on the bridge leaving the city of Brest. This is the N12.

  • Follow the N12 south towards Quimper until you reach the second exit for Le Faou. This is signposted Le Faou and Rumengol and comes shortly after a small service station.
  • Follow the exit road around to the right and into Le Faou. At the junction, which is in the town square, you have to turn right. You must then follow the road around to the left as if it were a roundabout and effectively take the last exit which is signposted for Loperec.

Bon voyage!
